Sunbury teen hurt in a crash

TREVORTON — A Sunbury teen was taken to Evangelical Community Hospital following a crash on Route 225 Saturday night in Little Mahanoy Township, Northumberland County. State police say 17-year-old Shawn Delong was traveling south on Route 225 around 11 p.m. when he lost control of his vehicle and drove off the road, striking a ditch.   He was taken to Evan Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. 2 bodies found in SUV fire

COGAN STATION, Pa. (AP) – Authorities in central Pennsylvania are investigating the death of a man and woman whose bodies were found in a burning sport utility vehicle as a possible murder-suicide.   Officials in Lycoming County told The (Williamsport) Sun-Gazette that the bodies of 42-year-old Seth Snyder of Hepburn Township and 38-year-old Cherilyn Kephart were found in the SUV outside his parents’ home along route 973.   Chief William Solomon of the Old Lycoming Township police department says investigators believe Snyder used an accelerant to set the fire at about 11:30 p.m. Thursday.   Court records indicate that he had been arrested last fall on a charge of assaulting the victim. Dalmatia man hopsitalized after crash


SUNBURY — A Dalmatia man was treated and released Geisinger Medical Center following a crash Satruday afternoon outside Sunbury. State police say 29-year-old Nickalous Anderson was traveling east on Boyer Hill Road in Upper Augusta Township around 5:30 p.m. when he failed to negotiate a curve in the road.   Anderson drove off the road and struck a stop sign and tree and then a home at the intersection of Boyer Hill and Shipman Roads. He was transported to Geisinger Medical Center for treatment of moderate injuries–he was treated and released. It is not known how much damage was done to the home. (Ali Stevens)   Follow
