MIFFLINBURG — A woman is in trouble after damaging 14 vehicles in Mifflinburg.  According to reports, Mifflinburg Police were dispatched to the 400 block of Walnut Street for a reported hit and run vehicle accident around 10:00p.m. Friday night.  Upon arrival, police discovered numerous damaged vehicles.   While officers were speaking to witnesses, the suspected vehicle returned to the area and was stopped by police.  After failing a series of tests,  the operator of the vehicle, 50-year-old Theresa Stauss was arrested for suspicion of DUI.   Through further investigation, police found that Stauss struck 14 vehicles parked along Walnut   Street and North Fifth   Street.  She is facing numerous charges pending investigation.  Anyone with…

Teen found with pills on school grounds

HERNDON — A Sunbury teen was found with suspicious pills at Line Mountain High School Friday morning.  According to State Police in Stonington, a 17-year-old male was found to be in possession of a tablet around 10:30a.m. Police suspect the tablet was morphine.  Charges are pending for the juvenile.  (Codi Jade)

Parents party with underage Bucknell students

LEWISBURG — Parents of a Bucknell University student are facing charges after providing alcohol to their daughter and her underage friends in February.   According to The Daily Item, 55-year-old Michael Ruff and his wife, 50-year-old Victoria Ruff of Penfield, New York provided, poured, and drank alcohol with four 18-year-olds on February 2.  They are charged with four misdemeanor counts of serving alcohol to minors in a dorm room.   The party was busted when the dorm assistant walked in to find the intoxicated underage students.  Pictures also surfaced on Facebook, showing the Ruff’s posing with liquor and students.  The Ruff’s are due in Union County court for preliminary hearings on May 9.  (Codi Jade)…
