SHAMOKIN DAM — There haven’t been any talks lately about merging the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Central Pennsylvania Chamber of commerce, but that conversation could happen again. There were discussions several years ago, but now that both chambers are without a leader, the idea has been brought up by WKOK. Board chair Lisa McManus of CATV is helping to run the Central PA chamber and told us the idea of a merger may come up, but it’s way too soon. Fundraiser for women’s shelter

SELINSGROVE- -  An upcoming event will help raise money for the construction of a local women’s shelter.  The By Grace Transitional Home is faith-based, non-profit and is being build without government funds. It is supported by volunteers, the community, local churches, fund raising, and all the profits from the Graceful Catering Business. They are hosting the Raise The Roof fundraiser Saturday August 24.  The event at Kidsgrove in Selinsgrove will include a number of activities all to raise money to build the shelter.  Tammy  Klinger says, “We’re going to have a car show. Vandalism and theft reported in Milton

MILTON — Milton State Police are investigating vandalism at a local business.  The incident happened sometime between Thursday and Friday at a building supply business in the Milton area.  Police say someone painted graffiti on equipment, dumped out tubes of grease and threw tools into a dredge pond.  Electronics were also stolen from the site. Police believe the actors may have been on bicycles, after finding bike tracks in the area.  Anyone with information on this reported vandalism and theft is asked to call Milton State Police at 524-2662.
