Post-Christmas program for kids on Tuesday December 30 at the Halfway Run Environmental learning Center. The Shortest Day: Celebrating the Winter Solstice will include a story about the science of the winter solstice and the history in very brief terms of how it has been celebrated by various cultures throughout time. The program will include a hands-on science activity and a simple craft ( winter solstice party for the birds- peanut butter bird feeders) This program will begin at 10:00 am and end around 11:30 am. Kids ages 5 and up are encouraged to attend. The center will remain open until 2:00 pm for your enjoyment. No registration is required.
