10th Anniversary for Ashley’s Auction


SELINSGROVE –  For 10 consecutive years, Ashley Brubaker of Selinsgrove has been hosting Ashley’s Auction at the Susquehanna Valley Mall as part of the 94KX Cares for Kids Radiothon.


Ashley’s Auction will be held  Saturday, with all proceeds from the auction to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network and Janet Weis Children’s Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center.  Since it is the 10th anniversary for the auction, there are hundreds of items to bid on. Ashley has raised over $131,000 over the past nine years through her auction.  Last year, she raised more than $26,700.   Ashley’s hopes to raise $30,000 this year.


Ashley’s mother Deb Brubaker said there will also be a live auction featuring a hot tub from Clearwater Swimming Pool Company,  a car donated by Paul Stine Chevrolet, and a trip to Cancun, Mexico donated by Liberty Travel.


Brubaker said, “The live auction starts at 3:15p.m. and the auctioneers will be Snyder County Commissioner Peggy Chamberlain Roup and President and CEO of the Central Pennsylvania Chamber of Commerce Bruce Smith, or more importantly, Ashley’s Uncle Bruce.”


Ashley’s Auction is Saturday at the Susquehanna Valley Mall starting at 10:00a.m. with the bids wrapping up at 3:00p.m. for the silent.  A full list of items is online at www.ashleysauctionwebsite.com.  (Ali Stevens)
