$365,000 payback extension granted in Northumberland County
SUNBURY — The Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development has extended the amount of time Northumberland County has to payback a state grant for the Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program.
Northumberland County Commissioner Rick Shoch provided the information to WKOK Friday in a letter from the DCED to U.S. Representative Lou Barletta (R-11, Hazelton). It said the deadline for the county to pay has been extended to March 11. The county received over $365,000 in the grant that went to help the homeless find housing. (Sara Bartlett)
