A Snyder County car – bike collision

 

SELINSGROVE — A woman riding a bicycle in rural Selinsgrove was hit by a car Friday morning. State troopers at Selinsgrove tell us, 57-year-old Barbara Kiper of Selinsgrove, was riding on Penns Drive in Monroe Township, when a car pulled out in front of her. Kiper was taken to Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, where a nursing supervisor says she was treated and released.

 

State police say a motorist, 86-year-old Betty Beaver of Winfield, was pulling from her driveway and drove into the path of the bicyclist. Beaver was cited for a traffic violation, according to troopers. The collision occurred around 10:30am Friday.
