One person injured in Sunbury crash

SUNBURY — One person was injured in a motor vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon. According to Northumberland County 911, a vehicle overturned just before 3:00p.m. at 1150 North Front Street.

A woman driver, 82-year-old Joyce Rebuck, had to be extricated from her vehicle. Rebuck was traveling on North Front Street when another vehicle near the flood wall suddenly pulled out. The woman swerved to avoid the car, but her vehicle clipped it and rolled over.

The driver of the other car was not injured and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. He was identified as 65-year-old Stanford Adler. Rebuck was treated and released from Geisinger Medical Center. Traffic was rerouted while crews worked to clear the scene. The road was cleared by 3:30p.m. (Codi Jade)
