Three injuries in Routes 11/15 crash
SHAMOKIN DAM – Three people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Shamokin Dam. The accident happened just before 9:30a.m. along Routes 11/15 at Baldwin Boulevard.
Shamokin Dam Police say William English of Selinsgrove was driving northbound on Routes 11/15 when he ran a red light and struck a vehicle driven by Christa Komara of Coal Township. English, Komara and Komara’s passenger Thomas Strickland of Shamokin all sustained injuries and were taken by ambulance to Geisinger Medical Center with what police say are non-life threatening injuries. There is no word on their conditions.
Traffic was backed up in both directions while emergency crews remained on the scene. Shamokin Dam crews were assisted by Hummels Wharf, DH&L and Americus fire crews, along local EMS crews, Sunbury Police and PennDOT. (Sara Bartlett)
