AccuWeather: More normal weather forecast today
SUNBURY — After a windy and cold Friday, the Memorial Day weekend is starting out with temperatures well below normal. Normally, the overnight temperature is about 50 degrees this time of year; it was 44-degrees this morning. That’s well above the record cold for this date…30-degrees in 1956.
Friday’s wind speeds were clocked at between seven and 20-miles-per-hour. The fastest wind speed recorded yesterday at the Penn Valley Airport was 28-miles-per-hour. Today winds are averaging about six miles per hour, but a gust of 20-miles-per-hour was recorded earlier.
AccuWeather calls for a partly sunny, breezy and cool day, with a high near 64. Tomorrow’s and Monday’s forecast call for more seasonable temperatures around 70, to 74 degrees in the afternoon.
