ALABAMA — Law enforcement sources say that in the last 24 hours officials became increasingly concerned for the life of the five-year old boy being held hostage in Midland City, Alabama.

The sources say they had managed to secretly insert a camera into the bunker so they could observe what was happening.

Right now, the sources say, bomb technicians are going through the bunker to make sure there are no booby-traps.

Earlier today a team led by specially-trained FBI agents rescued the boy and killed the assailant.  (CBS News)
