Attempted robbery at a convenience store in Northumberland County

MILTON — State police are looking for a man who tried to rob a convenience store in Milton on Saturday afternoon. Troopers say the man walked into the Sunoco store on Route 254, in Turbot Township around 2:15 p.m. the man demanded money from the store’s register. The store clerk activated the panic alarm and the man fled towards Milton on foot. No weapons were seen by the clerk.


The man is described as being 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing about 150 pounds. He was wearing a dark grey hooded sweat shirt, grey sweat pants and tennis shoes. He had dark brown hair, brown eyes and short facial hair. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call state police at Milton. (Ali Stevens)
