Craft bingo to benefit two residents in New Berlin
NEW BERLIN — A special craft bingo event is set for Sunday to benefit both a man who was blinded when he was shot, and a young man with a severe head injury. This is the third year the bingo will help Mike Hobbins, who was shot on New Berlin Mountain during spring turkey season in 2010. The benefit will also support Taylor Bingaman, a recent graduate of Mifflinburg High School, who sustained a severe head injury after a fall on the stairs and is being treated in Philadelphia.
The craft bingo will be held Sunday at the New Berlin Social Hall. Doors open at noon with an Early Bird Game at 1:45 a.m. There are refreshments and door prizes. Tickets are available at the door for $20.00. (Ali Stevens)
