Crash and fire at Lewisburg home

LEWISBURG — A vehicle crashed into a house in Lewisburg Friday, causing the home to catch fire.  State Police say the driver of the vehicle, a 75-year-old woman who has not yet been identified, apparently blacked out while driving, and the car struck a home along St. Paul Street.  The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital and no other injuries were reported.  The home sustained major damage.

The SUN Area chapter of the American Red Cross say they are assisting three adults and one child who lived in the home.  Fire crews from Lewisburg, Milton, Warrior Run, White Deer, Mifflinburg, New Berlin  and Union Township all assisted at 2:00p.m. fire, as did state and local police.
