Danville delays even longer due to signal issue
DANVILLE – A wiring issue is making for some long delays in Danville. Road crews continue their work at Route 11 and Route 54 in Danville, but now there is a hardwire interconnect issue in that area. PennDOT officials say they have been working with Danville Borough to address the issue.
The interconnect is dropping out and not running the signalized intersections as a coordinated system. This means the changing of signals is not consistent and can cause traffic backups at intersections with Route 11. The intersections effected are Route 54, Mill Street, Ferry Street and Church Street. A meeting is planned in the weeks ahead to assist with the problem. (Sara Bartlett)
