Districts to receive report card
SELINSGROVE – Not only do students receive report cards, but school districts will soon receive them as well. The Department of Education will be conducting profiles. Selinsgrove Superintendent Chad Cohrs explained that these profiles will use data including PSSA scores, attendance records, SAT scores, and advanced placement enrollment to give each district their own report card.
Cohrs said these profiles can be used to benefit schools in several ways. They will be a tool for comparison between school districts throughout the state. Schools may also use them for teacher and principal evaluation. Cohrs said, “they will be very helpful in identifying performance.”
According to Cohrs, the public release of this information is tentatively scheduled for April. (Codi Jade)
