Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show is postponed

HARRISBURG – Reed Exhibitions has announced their Eastern Sports and Outdoor Show next week at the Pennsylvania Farm Show complex has been postponed. Reed Exhibitions decided to limit the products gun vendors could show or sell at the event in wake of the shooting in Newtown Connecticut last month.

Chet Burchett of Reed Exhibitions said, “Our original decision not to include certain products at the show this year was made in order to preserve the event’s historical focus on the hunting and fishing traditions enjoyed by families.”

He said, “It has become very clear to us after speaking with our customers that the event could not be held because the atmosphere of this year’s show would not be conducive to an event that is designed to provide family enjoyment.”
