Family confirms SU graduate’s death
HOBOKEN, NJ — After a four week search, the body of a Susquehanna University graduate was found in the Hudson River. Late Tuesday night, the family confirmed on Facebook that a body pulled from the river Monday was that of 27-year-old Andrew Jarzyk.
The body was spotted in the river around 5:00p.m. Monday in southeastern Hoboken, New Jersey. Jarzyk was last seen alive March 30 jogging along the river.
The family confirmed the news in a heartfelt message on the “Find Andrew Jarzyk” Facebook page. The post included, “Although this has been a very tragic ending, we have been able to get through this because of love, faith and outpouring support that we have received from everyone.”
The post has so far received over 2,000 “likes.” Jarzyk was a 2009 graduate of Susquehanna University. (Codi Jade)
