Fatal crash victim still not identified
ELYSBURG – It could be another eight weeks before Northumberland County Coroner James Kelley can identify a man killed in a crash in Rush Township on August 26th. The Daily Item reports blood and deep tissue samples are in the state police system and need to be processed.
The other man killed in the fiery crash was identified as 46-year-old James Connelly of Danville. The crash took place on Rushtown Road between Logan Run Road and Bellas Hollow Road. Police say the truck was traveling on Rushtown Road and went out of control, struck a tree, flipped onto its roof and caught on fire. (Ali Stevens)
