Fight leads police to drugs in Columbia County
BLOOMSBURG — A Danville woman and Millville man are behind bars today after a fight led police to a large stash of drugs. State police responded to a home on Boyer Bottom Road in Greenwood Township, Columbia County on Saturday for a report of a fight in progress.
They found 24-year-old Michelle Kreski and 27-year-old Karl Greenburgh had been fighting and both sustained injuries. Both Kreski and Greenburgh fled the residence when troopers arrived, leading police on a foot pursuit. Greenburgh was found to be in possession of heroin, 14 Xanax pills and a Suboxone patch. Drug paraphernalia and a large amount of cash was also found. Kreski was found with 36 heroin packets and drug paraphernalia.
They were both charged with drug possession, assault and resisting arrest. They were arraigned and sent to the Columbia County Prison on $100,000 bail. (Ali Stevens)
