First Lake Augusta Wine and Brew Fest
SUNBURY – The first ever Lake Augusta Wine and Brew Fest will be held tomorrow (Saturday) at the Sunbury Amphitheater along the Susquehanna River. Tonya Ditty helped organize the new event to support Sunbury Revitalization Incorporated.
Ditty said, “We are going to have live music, a lot of breweries for tastings, wineries will be there for tastings as well, local restaurants and a lot of additional vendors will be there.” Those vendors will include arts and crafts displays.
Meghan Beck is president of SRI and talked about the importance of community events that are fun and engaging. Beck said, “I think it’s a type of event that a lot of people are interested in seeing be successful and it’s a great venue to have it at. I think all of the pieces just fell together really nicely.”
The event is from 2 to 6 p.m. and tickets are $25.00 each. Entertainment will be provided by Royal Benson and Sean Farley. You will receive a tasting glass with the purchase of your ticket and all proceeds benefit SRI efforts and projects. (Ali Stevens)
