Former teacher who struck five teens will go to trial

SUNBURY – The former teacher who struck five teens while driving drunk will go to trial on multiple charges. Victor Swaboski of Mount Carmel is charged with five counts of accidents involving personal injury. He was in Northumberland County Court yesterday and three felony charges were dismissed. Swabosky is accused of driving into a group of teens on March 28th near Mount Carmel Elementary.


Injured in the crash were 19-year-old Tyler Wondoloski, 14-year-old Seanna Zimmerman, 15-year-old Chelsea Troutman, 17-year-old Jarret Shultz and 16-year-old Andrew Campbell. After the crash, Swaboski ran into the woods and was taken into custody a short time later. (Ali Stevens)
