Four cadets escape from Northwestern Academy

COAL TOWNSHIP — Police are trying to locate four cadets who escaped from the Northwestern Academy in Coal Township Wednesday morning. The News Item reports the cadets escaped shortly before 2:00a.m. from the juvenile detention facility.


They are two 19-year-olds from Maryland and Reading, Pennsylvania, a 16-year-old from Washington D.C. and a 15-year-old from Harrisburg. Police say two of the suspects locked an employee from Selinsgrove in a room and stole his building keys. The cadets are also accused of stealing the employees car to flee the area.
