Four homes destroyed in Ranshaw

RANSHAW – Four homes were damaged by fire Monday in the Village of Ranshaw. The Coal Township blaze was reported around 8:30am, the fire destroyed a double home, and damaged two neighboring homes.
The News-Item newspaper is reporting the fire started at 518 Webster Street in the vacant side of a double home. It destroyed the home and displaced the Janet Millard family on the other side. Also damaged were homes at 520 and 514 Webster Street.
There were no injuries reported at the scene, the fire’s cause is under investigation. WKOK has contacted the fire chief Russ Feese and we hope for more information. About a half dozen, Coal Township, Shamokin and surrounding volunteer fire companies responded.
