Fundraiser to benefit disabled kids boasts band, pig roast
LAURELTON– Lifting Little Lives’ 4th annual fundraiser will benefit ill and disabled children in central PA. Members Butch Heim and Jeremy Kahley said the Roast and Run for Little Ones will feature karaoke, a pig roast, and 3 local bands.
Participants must buy 6 raffle tickets at $5 apiece to attend the event. Winners of the raffle stand to claim a cash prize, but Kahley said that most people remain charitable even in the face of victory.
“Almost every year, people wind up donating the money right back to us that win the raffle drawing. It kind of works out really great for the organization as well.”
Performances by Small Town Titans, Sucker Punch, and Tongue ‘N Cheek are expected to draw crowds on May 17-19 at the West End Fairgrounds in Laurelton. The area will have camper hookups for anyone wanting to attend the weekend-long event. (Carrie Haines)
