Ground broken on $52 million lab building

DANVILLE — Ground was broken Thursday on a 115,000 square foot laboratory medicine building at Geisinger Medical Center.  The five-level building will replace the current medical testing labs and provide space to expand Geisinger’s clinical, research and teaching programs.  It will provide lab testing, education and research areas, as well as staff and employee offices, meeting rooms and support areas.  The $52 million project is expected to take two years, and be complete April 2015.
