GSVCC to start president search shortly

SUNBURY — The Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce is in need of a new president, but first they want to identify what they are looking for.  Jim Barbarich has been working as interim president since Charlie Ross left the position in June.  He explained the chamber’s current process of finding a full-time member of their team.

“The board has decided that we are going to redefine what accountability is.  What our vision is.  How we can best support the business development cycle in The Valley, not just today, but really in the window of the next 10 years,” Barbarich said.  “So, we want to make sure as we go out into the market to look for that new president, that he or she has the skill set to enable us to meet our new goals.”

Barbarich said they hope to identify the specific requirements in the next 30 days, and begin a search for the next president in September.  You can find more information about the Greater Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce at  (Codi Jade)
