Interstate 80 closed for hours after crash
MIFFLINVILLE – Interstate 80 was shut down for about six hours last night after a tractor trailer truck overturned in the westbound lanes near Mifflinville. The Press Enterprise reports 59-year-old John Rowland’s truck cab overturned and was ripped from the frame and motor.
The rig collided with barriers in the construction zone, and there was a small fire, that emergency crews were able to quickly extinguish. Rowland, from Michigan, was not injured. The crash was near the westbound on-ramp from Route 339, which remains closed for a bridge project. (Ali Stevens)
