Trooper: Most child seats installed wrong
Lewisburg- As a parent, your child’s safety is a priority. That is why places like Evangelical Community Health department are doing car sear checks, to make sure that your child is safe when you are on the go. Deana Carson explained to us the importance of what they do noting that most car seats are not installed correctly.
Carson noted, “The national statistic is that 4 out of 5 car seats are used incorrectly, in the last 3 months we did 106 car seat checks and only 6 were correct. So the misuse is huge.” Some common mistakes that parents make with their children’s car seats include improper size, direction, and installment. If you are interested in getting your child’s car seat checked there is still an opportunity to do so.
