Judge to respond to commissioner allegations
SUNBURY — A Northumberland County judge will respond to recent allegations made by Northumberland County Commissioner Rick Shoch. President Judge Robert Sacavage will respond at a meeting this morning to allegations from Shoch that former adult probation chief John Wondoloski was collecting unemployment benefits, even though Shoch claims Wondoloski retired and was not terminated.
In a separate incident involving a Northumberland County employee, Shoch has claimed that assistant registrar Cortney Marise was given an illegal pay raise, without a vote during a public salary board meeting. Commissioner Vinny Clausi has responded to Shoch’s allegations. In his response, Clausi says “Mr. Shoch is not telling the whole truth.” Clausi says it is true that Shoch did not sign a form to approve the increase for Marise, but that Shoch did sign a similar form to increase the salary for another county employee without bringing it before the salary board.
