Local elementary school reacts to potential threats
MILTON — A local elementary school was on lockdown this morning. According to Milton Superintendent Kathy Groller, The James F. Baugher Elementary School was temporarily locked down around 8:30a.m.
Groller said, “As a precautionary measure to keep all students and staff as safe as possible, the school was locked down this morning due to a potential external threat.”
Milton borough police responded and it was determined that there was no threat. The lockdown was lifted after 20 minutes.
“All of the students and staff of the Baugher Elementary School were incredibly cooperative during this precautionary measure and they are to be commended for ensuring a safe learning environment,” Groller said.
