Man injured when car hits garbage truck
MILTON — A Mifflinburg man suffered major injuries when his vehicle hit a garbage truck. According to State Police in Milton, 38-year-old Lennie Boop was traveling east on Buffalo Road in West Buffalo Township around 8:20a.m. Wednesday morning. A garbage truck, owned by Waste Management of Central PA, was stopped on the road for garbage pickup. Boop struck the back of the garbage truck.
Police say 57-year-old Kenneth Zweizig was at the rear of the truck collecting garbage when he saw Boop coming and ran out of the way to avoid being struck. Boop suffered a major head injury. He had to be taken to GeisingerMedicalCenter by Life Flight. We will update you on his status as it becomes available. (Codi Jade)
