Man shoots a bull and is charged with animal cruelty

MIDDLEBURG – A Middleburg man has been charged with animal cruelty after police say she shot a more than 300-pound bull that wandered into his grandmother’s garden. The Daily Item reports 26-year-old Andrew Hestor told police he shot the bull to protect his grandmother’s produce garden. However, Hestor reportedly took the dead animal to the butcher and tried to get it processed. The owner of the animal from Beavertown, reported the incident to police after the butcher contacted him. The incident took place in late August. (Ali Stevens)
