Many arrested during a DUI checkpoint in Snyder County


SELINSGROVE — There were several people arrested after a DUI checkpoint on Friday night in Snyder County and five illegal immigrants were also discovered. State police from Selinsgrove, Stonington and Milton took part in the checkpoint on Friday. There were also five illegal immigrants from El Salvador and Honduras that came through the checkpoint. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement was contacted and will be conducting an investigation.


A 20-year-old Middleburg man was charged with DUI and underage drinking. A 21-year-old Selinsgrove woman was charged with DUI. A 19-year-old Sunbury woman was charged with DUI, underage drinking and possession of drug paraphernalia. A 22-year-old Hummelstown man was charged with DUI and a 22-year-old woman from Princeton, New Jersey was also charged with DUI. None of the people arrested were identified by state police.
