Marshals Service finds wanted Sunbury man
SUNBURY — A wanted fugitive in Sunbury was busted. A U.S. Marshals Service spokesman tells us 30-year-old Brian Badman of Sunbury was located and arrested Thursday morning after a warrant was issued Monday.
Badman is facing charges for an October 2013 incident where he allegedly stabbed 26-year-old Shawn Snurkowski of Sunbury 10-12 times in the city.
Badman was reportedly granted a furlough last Thursday from the court of common pleas to see his daughter. He was scheduled for a sentencing hearing in the Northumberland County Court Monday and, when he did not show up a warrant, was issued for his arrest.
The U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force was asked to adopt the case Tuesday. They located Badman at 9:00a.m. Thursday in Sunbury and took him into custody without incident.
Badman is back in the Northumberland Count Prison, and has an emergency bench warrant hearing this morning. The Marshals Service spokesperson believes Badman may now face further prosecution for failure to appear in court. (Codi Jade)
