McClure woman charged with stealing from a fire company


MCCLURE – A McClure woman is locked up in the Snyder County Prison after police say she stole more than $9,000 from the McClure Volunteer Fire Company. Middleburg police say Shana McClellan, the fire company treasurer, had made withdraws 40 times from the bingo account using an ATM debit card.


Also money from other fire company accounts was transferred into the bingo account. In all, police say McClellan stole $9,464. She was arraigned before District Judge Lori Hackenberg and was sent to prison on charges including 40 counts of theft and receiving stolen property. McClellan has a court hearing on March 6th.
