Middleburg man faces trial for threats to a school
MILTON — A Middleburg man accused of threatening a woman, prompting the lockdown of the Shikellamy School District, will go to trial on multiple charges after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing. 37-year-old Jeremy Church was in district court in Milton yesterday and decided to send his charges of terroristic threats and drug possession on to court.
Police say on December 20th, Church threatened to kill his ex-girlfriend. He is also accused of referencing the Newtown, Connecticut school shooting when telling the woman he was going to get their daughter from Priestley Elementary School.
A pretrial conference has been scheduled for March 1st at the Northumberland County Courthouse. Church remains behind bars after failing to post $125,000 bail. (Ali Stevens)
