Milton man finds a stranger sleeping on his couch

MILTON – A Milton man was startled to find another man sleeping on his couch Sunday morning. State police say the man awoke to find 18-year-old Theodore Doremus, a Bucknell student from Vermont, passed out on his sofa around 8 a.m.

Doremus had used a vacuum cleaner to smash a window and then climbed into the home. The homeowner grabbed a loaded shotgun and woke Doremus, who was intoxicated and didn’t know how he got there. Doremus is a freshman from Bucknell University and was released to school officials. He faces multiple charges for the incident. (Ali Stevens)
