MiltonDistrict Judge up for vote
MILTON — Selecting a full-time district judge for Milton will be up to the voters in the Spring election. The position will be on the May 21 primary ballot in NorthumberlandCounty. The seat was vacated in 2011 by District Judge William Kear, who retired after 25-years. Former District Judge Bob Bolton was moved from Sunbury to Milton, but then Bolton also retired in February of 2012.
Senior District Judge Richard Cashman has been filling in temporarily, but the position is a full-time job. The position is a six-year term and nominating petitions can be picked up at the NorthumberlandCounty elections office. February 22nd is the last day to register for the Spring primary. (Ali Stevens)
