Minor Penns flooding, no other problems expected

UNDATED — With today’s heavy rains, water levels are rising. Penns Creek is experiencing some minor flooding. It reached 8.8 feet, and is expected to crest at 9.2 feet and make its way down throughout the morning.

In Danville, the river is expected to crest at 16.3 feet, which is in the ‘action’ stage, still 4.7 feet from minor flooding.

The Susquehanna River in Sunbury continues to rise. It is expected to crest at 19.7 feet this evening. In Lewisburg, the river is expected to crest at 15.4 feet. In Milton the river is expected to crest at 15.1 feet. (Sara Bartlett)
