SUNBURY — A family band in Sunbury was very well received during their first CD release party.  The Morgan Family and Uncle Bean performed for a crowd at the Sunbury Market House over the weekend.

Dave Morgan says the Market House was the perfect place to have their release party Saturday morning and he hopes it drew people to the great hometown store.  “Over the years, I think people got out of the habit of going to the Market House.  I like to try and come every Saturday, even if I don’t need anything, to support our local friends.”

Country, folk, gospel and more…the audience as treated to original songs and cover songs as well.  Morgan says it was a very special time, they are happy with the turnout and happy to get their music out to a number of people.  Morgan says the band has been busy since winning The Valley’s Got Talent in Sunbury.  “We have certainly been able to get our music out more,” says Morgan.

The Morgan family recorded their first CD in Elysburg and had it produced in Nashville,Tennessee.  It includes eleven songs, many which are original and a few favorites such as John Denver’s Country Roads and Tammy Wynette’s Stand By Your Man. (Sara Bartlett)
