One critical, another jailed, after Lewisburg stabbing

LEWISBURG — A Milton man is in critical condition, and a man from Lewisburg is jailed on felony assault charges after a Saturday morning stabbing. Buffalo Valley Regional Police tell us, the victim is 19-year-old Marcus Cotto.

He is in Geisinger Medical Center suffering from two stab wounds to the upper torso. Police say found him lying on the street outside an apartment building at 202 St. John Street. The stabbing happened inside the building around 3:30am Saturday.

Arrested, facing felony aggravated assault charges, is 31-year-old Sean Russavage of Lewisburg. He lived inside the apartment building but not in the area where the stabbing occured. Police say he used a knife with a three to four inch blade to stab Cotto.

Russavage is also charged with making terroristic threats, simple assault, and possession of an instrument of crime. His bail is set at $50,000. The two men were arguing prior to the stabbing–according to Buffalo Valley Regional Police. The exact motive for the dispute is not known.
