Ophthalmology clinic coming to Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital

 

SHAMOKIN — A new ophthalmology clinic will be built on the campus of Geisinger-Shamokin Area Community Hospital. A groundbreaking was celebrated in January on the $1.2-million clinic, which is expected to be completed in June. The addition is 4,000-square-feet and will be connected to the Geisinger Specialty Care building. The new clinic is for treatment and diagnosis of eye disorders, including cataracts, glaucoma and eye diseases.
