Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate declines again

HARRISBURG — Pennsylvania’ unemployment rate continues to drop and remains below the national average. During the month of Feburary, the unemployment rate in the state dropped by two-tenths of a percentage point to 6.2 percent. The national rate was up one-tenth of a percentage point to 6.7 percent. Pennsylvania’s unemployment rate is now the lowest it has been since November of 2008. Last year at this time, the unemployment rate in the state was 7.7 percent. (Ali Stevens)
