Plans moving forward for new high school in Lewisburg
LEWISBURG — Construction will begin next fall for the Lewisburg high school. The school board approved a timeline and preliminary financing for building the new facility on Newman Road in Kelly Township. This has been a decision five years in the making, with financial struggles, as well as support and opponents to building a new school.
The school board calls this decision a “win-win for our children and taxpayers of the community.” The building will be ready for occupancy in fall 2016. You can read more about the decision and plans here. (Sara Bartlett)
