Residents asked to keep hydrants clear of snow

SHAMOKIN DAM — While it has been a very snowy winter, it is also a busy fire season.  Emergency personnel want to remind folks to keep fire hydrants clear of snow.

Shamokin Dam Deputy Fire Chief Jon Gray says hydrants need to be accessible for firefighters to be able to do their job.  If you live near a hydrant, you are asked to please dig out your hydrant as a safety precaution for you and your neighbors.   (Codi Jade)
