MILTON — A Milton woman was seriously injured Monday morning in a crash on Route 147.  The crash happened just before 6:30a.m. near the on-ramp to I-80 in the northbound lane.

According to Milton State Police, 37-year-old Beth Mattingly lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve.  Her vehicle struck a guardrail head on, spun around, and flipped end over end for 20 yards.

Mattingly was not wearing a seatbelt.  She had to be extracted from the vehicle and was taken to Geisinger Medical Center where she is listed in serious condition.  Milton EMS, Milton Fire Department, Turbot Township Fire Department, PennDOT and Heaters Garage assisted at the scene.  The crash closed the road for about an hour while crews cleared the scene.  Mattingly will be cited for driving too fast for conditions.  (Sara Bartlett/Codi Jade)
