Salvation Army gearing up for NFF distribution
SUNBURY – The Salvation Army in Milton and Sunbury are gearing up for the Needy Family Fund distribution next week. Hundreds of families throughout The Valley will be helped for the holiday season by the program.
Major Sharon Cupp of the Sunbury Salvation Army says they are busy this week getting everything ready. “They are packing the boxes to make all the food items and also placing toys in bags so everything is ready to go.”
Families will get food, gifts, clothes and those with children will receive toys. “There will be three brand new toys per child. Then families can also pick up hats, coats and gloves that have been donated.”
The distribution for registered, eligible families in Sunbury will be Wednesday and Thursday at AYSO Softball Training Center on Race Street from 9:00a.m.-3:00p.m. In Milton, the distribution will be Wednesday from 9:30a.m.-2:00p.m. in the empty storefront next to the Ben Franklin building along Carpenter Road.
