Schedule for new high school approved
LEWISBURG – The Lewisburg School Board voted 8 to 1 to approve a timeline for a new high school. The $30-million school will be built on the Newman Farm Property in Kelly Township with construction beginning in September of 2014.
The high school is scheduled to open for students in August of 2016. The board also voted to begin preparations for the bond obligation for the high school project. They will also refinance bonds from 2005. Board member Mary Howe was the only board member who voted against the high school project.
