Selinsgrove Seals playoff football is tonight

SELINSGROVE — It’s Round 2 of the PIAA football championships and the Selinsgrove Seals will take on the Allentown Central Catholic Vikings. Mike Walter is a senior and running back for the Seals and says they are familiar with this team, because they beat them a few years ago on their way to the state championship. Walter is excited at how far the team has come this year.

He said, “I’ve always had high expectations. I really wanted to win the district championship. I mean, it’s my senior year and we didn’t do well last year. But, I never thought we would make it this far this year and get to play a school like ACC for a chance to move into the semi-finals in the state.”

After this year, Walter will graduate and plans to attend classes at Susquehanna University, where he will play football his freshman year. He’s pleased that his senior year in football has been a success.

Kickoff tonight is at 7 p.m. and you can hear the game on our sister station Eagle 107. If the Seals win tonight, they will move on to the semi-finals. (Ali Stevens)
